- 1X2
- A betting market where you pick one of three outcomes: a home win (1), a draw (X) or an away win (2).
- Acca
- Short for accumulator, a single bet that links two or more selections and pays out only if every selection wins.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap that splits the possible outcomes into two, giving a virtual advantage or disadvantage to each team to level the match.
- Back
- To bet that a particular outcome will happen, the opposite of a lay.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money set aside for betting, used to manage stakes and losses.
- Bet Builder

- Bookmaker
- A company that sets odds, accepts bets and pays out winnings.
- Both Teams to Score

- Correct Score
- A bet that requires you to predict the exact final score of the match.
- Draw No Bet
- A market where you back either the home team or the away team, and your stake is refunded if the match ends in a draw.
- Half‑Time/Full‑Time
- A market where you predict both the result at half‑time and the result at the final whistle.
- In-Play
- Bets that are placed after the match has started, with odds that update as the game progresses.
- Lay
- To bet against a particular outcome happening, often used on betting exchanges where you act as the bookmaker.
- Live Betting
- Another term for in‑play betting, where you wager on a match while it is happening.
- Margin
